2025 Was Steer’s Breakout Year

Steer today shared its 2025 year in review, marking a defining year of growth, rebuilding, and momentum for the company. What began as a simple MVP evolved into a full platform rebuild, rapid team expansion, and growing daily usage from a highly engaged community.

Early in the year, Steer released its first MVP to test a core idea, whether technology could genuinely help people build better, more impactful relationships. User feedback came quickly and clearly, validating the idea while also revealing the need for something deeper. In response, the team made the decision to rebuild the product from the ground up, expanding both its scope and ambition.

Throughout 2025, Steer transformed from an early experiment into a platform designed for daily use. The product grew to support deeper context, smarter discovery, and daily content, helping users move beyond surface level networking and toward real conversations and lasting connections.

The company itself grew just as quickly. Steer expanded from a founding team of two to a team of twelve, spanning product, engineering, design, and growth. This growth allowed the company to move faster, improve quality, and build stronger systems to support long-term scale.

Steer also received strong institutional validation during the year. The company was accepted into four leading incubators, including the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto, the Niagara Innovation Hub, the Innovation Boost Zone at Toronto Metropolitan University, and the Vector Institute. These programs provided mentorship, infrastructure, and access to world-class expertise, particularly in applied artificial intelligence.

User adoption accelerated throughout the year as more people began using Steer daily. Students, founders, professionals, and builders used the platform to meet mentors, discover new connections, and maintain relationships they otherwise would not have found or sustained. Thousands of real conversations and introductions were facilitated through the platform, reinforcing Steer’s focus on quality over volume.

By the end of 2025, Steer emerged with a great product, a growing team, strong backing from leading innovation institutions, and clear momentum heading into the next phase of growth. The year marked a turning point, transforming Steer from an idea into a company positioned to scale its impact.

This year in review reflects Steer’s belief that better technology can help people build better relationships.
