Steer had the biggest week we have ever had. We grew 1,800% week over week, becoming our strongest week to date. The number is wild, and I’m grateful for it, but what mattered most of all was not the metrics — it was meeting the people who joined and hearing, face to face, what Steer is actually doing for them.
I spent a lot of time personally meeting with many of the new users who joined. Over and over, I heard how intuitive the product felt the moment they opened it, how quickly it clicked, and how easy it was to start using without needing instructions. A lot of people told me it will save them so much time, helping them rely less on LinkedIn for their networking. That is exactly what we are trying to build: something that respects your attention and gives you what you want to see instead of another feed that drains you.
At the same time, these conversations made something else very clear: people want more of the map and more of the feed. Many users liked both immediately, but they also wanted them to go deeper and be more comprehensive. They want the map to be more interactive and include more connections. They want the feed to have more content, with more context, more insight, and more substance about the people they actually care about. That feedback was incredibly consistent, and it helped us see what matters most. So that is exactly what we are working on now. We are building a much more comprehensive feed and map experience — more interactive, more informative, and more useful day to day. You will see it soon.
I just want to say thank you to everyone I spoke with this week. I genuinely appreciate the honesty, the encouragement, and the directness. These conversations did not just make me feel good — they made the product better, because they showed us what is most valuable when real people try to use Steer in real life with real goals.
What has been most exciting to watch is not just that people signed up, but what happened after. We are already seeing these new users reach out to people, send messages, and actually get responses from professionals and from the people they want to know. One user emailed me saying he has been using Steer for only a few days and already booked three coffee chats. Another person joined because his friends were networking, building relationships, and getting jobs, and he did not want to be left behind. He joined, started reaching out, and quickly got his first coffee chat booked too.
This is what we are building Steer for. We are building something that helps people take action, stay in the know about the people who matter, and create outcomes they can actually feel in their real lives. More soon.
