Steer’s newest feature at the University of Toronto’s Centre for Entrepreneurship (CFE) felt like another step forward, and we’re grateful for it. The CFE is one of UofT’s main incubators, and since joining, things have simply moved faster for us. The space is full of helpful people, honest feedback, and other founders who are building real companies, and every client or investor we bring in notices it right away, often saying the same thing, that the environment here is special.
At the recent Venture Spotlight, we shared Steer’s story with students and founders, and talked about how we help people build real relationships that lead to new chances and new opportunities. Networking can feel confusing or stressful for many people, but once they use Steer, things start to open up, and we’ve already seen students get coffee chats, job leads, referrals, and introductions that change their direction. Being in the CFE has helped us grow our product faster, meet more people, and stay focused on what matters most.
We also shared one simple idea with new entrepreneurs, that relationships are the heart of any startup. Good things happen when you talk to people, ask questions, help others, and take small steps every week, and the CFE is one of the best places to do that because everyone here is building, learning, and trying to get a little better each day.
We’re thankful that UofT chose to spotlight us, and it means a lot to see our work recognized inside a community we respect. The CFE is supporting companies like Steer in a real way, giving us the space, the people, and the momentum to grow.
If you’re starting something new or looking for your next step, now is a good time to begin building the relationships that will shape your path, and we’d love to be part of that journey with you.
