Steer had the chance to showcase at U of T's True Blue Expo, part of U of T Entrepreneurship Week, where startups, accelerators, and people from across the ecosystem came together for a full day at the Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus.
It was an incredible experience for us. We spent the day showing people Steer, giving demos, answering questions, and meeting a lot of smart people who were genuinely excited about what we are building.
What stood out most was how much people liked it. A lot of people understood the idea right away and could immediately see the value in it. That was exciting to see in person. We also booked around 7 demos just from meeting people at the event, which made the whole day even better.
For us, that meant a lot. It is one thing to work on something every day and believe in it yourself. It is another thing to put it in front of people and see that they really get it. We were very happy to see that so many people loved Steer and were excited to learn more.
We also had a lot of good conversations with people who gave thoughtful feedback and asked strong questions. That part matters too. It helps us keep improving and keep building the product in the right way.
A big thank you to the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto for making it possible for us to be part of the event. It was a great day for Steer, and we are excited for what comes next.
