Our Goal

Our goal is to help you become the best version of yourself. Relationships shape who you are, where you go, and what your life becomes. When you build the right relationships, life gains meaning, opportunities expand, and success becomes possible.

The Problem

There’s no place on the internet that actually helps you be good with people. Social platforms are built for content, not relationships, so you end up scrolling instead of staying close, consuming instead of remembering what matters.

What Steer Does

Steer helps you make new connections, write thoughtful messages, and remember the details that keep relationships alive. The other person does not need to be on Steer for you to reach them. Steer lets you find and message over 200 million people, manage the relationship, and stay thoughtful over time. We started in early 2024, and today a growing number of students, professionals, startups, and companies use Steer to build the connections and communities they want.

Our Story

It started with Aleks. Like everyone else, he was told to "just network," so he did. It got him interviews and internships, but it cost time and never helped him build deep relationships. He realized the problem wasn't him, it was the tools: everything was built for content, not people. He began to imagine something that helped you meet people and actually stay close to them, and with AI that idea finally became possible. That's how Steer began.

Expanding the Vision

Aleks turned to the people he trusted most, reaching out to Tyler and Campbell. He met Tyler through the investment club, and Tyler immediately saw that this wasn't a student problem but a universal one: in life, business, and careers, relationships shape every opportunity, yet no one has tools to manage them with intention. Tyler joined and began shaping how the product should look, feel, and guide people.

Aleks then shared the idea with Campbell, who instantly saw the direction and meaning behind it and gave it its name, Steer, because the relationships you build steer the direction of your life.

The Team Takes Shape

The team grew in the way the idea is meant to foster, through relationships. Tyler reached out to Nikki from the investment club for operations and analytics, then brought in Moez, a trusted partner who could build the technical foundation. After that, Tyler brought in Alyah to lead growth and partnerships, adding someone who understood people and could help Steer reach the communities it was meant to serve.

Moez then introduced Raif, someone he trusted to bring the intelligence the AI needed, and Raif stepped in to build those systems.

Relationships

Steer did not come together through job postings or recruitment funnels, but through trust, friendship, and people believing in one another. Every member joined because of a relationship. Every step forward came from connection.

Steer exists because of relationships, shaped by them and carried by them. Our vision is to help others build these same kinds of relationships so they can start a company, a movement, a community. The proof that this is possible is written into our DNA.
