Steer is operated by InSteer, Inc., a legally incorporated entity in Ontario, Canada. Any reference to "Steer" in these Terms refers to InSteer, Inc. and its related products and services.

Who May Use the Services

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your jurisdiction).
  • You must have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
  • You must not be prohibited from receiving services under applicable law.
  • You must use Steer in good faith and not abuse, disrupt, or manipulate the platform.

We may suspend or terminate access at our sole discretion for misuse, fraud, non-compliance, or behavior harmful to our business or community.

Privacy

  • We collect account, usage, AI-generated, technical, and communication data to provide and improve services.
  • We do not sell personal data. We may share data with service providers, for legal compliance, or during business transactions.
  • We apply reasonable data security measures but do not guarantee absolute security.
  • You may have rights to access, delete, or manage your data depending on your jurisdiction.

Using the Services & AI Content Responsibility

  • No spam, harassment, impersonation, deceptive messaging, or abusive automation.
  • No scraping, reverse engineering, or system manipulation.
  • No misuse of AI-generated content that violates law, privacy, or intellectual property rights.

AI-Generated Content

  • AI outputs are suggestions only.
  • You are fully responsible for reviewing and editing before use.
  • We do not guarantee accuracy, appropriateness, or legal compliance of AI outputs.

Disclaimers and Liability

Steer is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, professional, legal, or reputational damages arising from use of the Services.

General

  • We may update these Terms at any time; continued use means acceptance of updates.
  • Ontario law governs these Terms; disputes are resolved in Ontario courts.
  • If one provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in full effect.

1. Terms of Service Company Information

1.1 Legal Entity: InSteer, Inc. is a duly incorporated entity in Ontario, Canada.

1.2 Business Purpose: InSteer, Inc. develops and commercializes Steer, a professional networking and AI-assisted messaging platform.

1.3 References to "Steer": Any reference to "Steer" includes InSteer, Inc., its services, products, and intellectual property.

1.4 Rights and Claims: Use of Steer does not create ownership rights over the platform, content, AI outputs, algorithms, branding, or data.

These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and InSteer, Inc.

2. Who May Use the Services

  • Minimum Age: At least 13 years old or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction.
  • Legal Capacity: You must have legal capacity to enter a binding contract.
  • Compliance with Law: You must not be prohibited from receiving services.
  • Authorized Use: If using Steer for an entity, you must have authority to bind that entity.
  • Fair Use and Integrity: You must use Steer in good faith.

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access at our sole discretion.

3. Privacy

Your use of Steer is subject to this Privacy Policy. If you connect Google Workspace, we comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

3.1 Information We Collect

  • Account information.
  • Usage and interaction data.
  • AI-generated content and drafts.
  • Device, technical, and IP data.
  • Support and feedback communications.

3.2 How We Use Information

  • Service delivery and product improvements.
  • Personalized suggestions and networking insights.
  • Analytics and performance monitoring.
  • Compliance and security operations.
  • User communications and support.

We may use aggregated and anonymized data for analytics and business operations.

3.3 Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell personal data. We may share information with service providers, when legally required, or in business transactions.

3.4 Data Security and Responsibility

  • You are responsible for account credential security.
  • You submit data at your own risk.
  • We are not liable for unauthorized access or breaches.

3.5 Data Retention

We retain data as needed for service, legal, and operational purposes. You may request deletion, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.

3.6 User Rights and Choices

Depending on jurisdiction, rights may include data access, deletion requests, opt-outs, and communication preference management.

3.7 Google API Data Compliance

  • Google Workspace data is used only for visible user-facing functionality.
  • No transfer or sale for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or generalized AI training.
  • Human access is restricted to user authorization, legal requirements, or abuse/security investigations.

4. Using the Services & AI-Generated Content Responsibility

You must comply with all applicable laws and policies when using Steer.

4.1 Acceptable Use Policy

  • No spam, harassment, deceptive communication, or impersonation.
  • No prohibited automation or mass messaging that violates third-party platform terms.
  • No scraping, reverse engineering, disruption, or exploitation of Steer systems.
  • No unlawful sharing of AI-generated content.
  • No resale or unauthorized commercial exploitation of Steer services.
  • No use of Steer to build or train competing products.

4.2 Service Availability and Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time and may restrict access at our sole discretion.

5. AI-Generated Content and Responsibility

  • User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and validating AI-generated content before use.
  • No Guarantee: We do not guarantee accuracy, effectiveness, appropriateness, or legal compliance.
  • No Liability: Communications created or sent using Steer are your responsibility.

6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Steer is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties.

  • Steer is a tool, not a substitute for professional judgment.
  • We are not liable for legal, professional, reputational, or third-party platform consequences.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential losses.
  • Your use of Steer is at your own risk.
  • Class-action and collective claim rights are waived where legally permitted; disputes are individual and in Ontario courts.

7. General

7.1 Updates and Modifications: We may update these Terms, product features, pricing, and subscription models at any time.

7.2 Governing Law and Dispute Resolution: Ontario, Canada law governs these Terms, and disputes are resolved exclusively in Ontario courts.

7.3 Enforceability and Severability: If one provision is unenforceable, remaining provisions remain in full force.

7.4 Our Right to Enforce: We may enforce these Terms at our sole discretion, including restricting, suspending, or terminating access.
